Peter Gates – Managing Director

Peter Gates is a founder of OreKinetics and has been involved in an engineering/research capacity in industry and particularly the titanium mineral industry for well over 30 years.

Peter invented the revolutionary UltraStat and CoronaStat electrostatic separators. He has also been instrumental in furthering the technology development of other physical separation systems including gravity separation processes. Peter is the driving force behind these innovations and his inventions are breakthroughs in the field of titanium mineral industry with over 450 installations worldwide.

Peter is motivated by the unpredictable nature of fundamental research, and innovation and leads OreKinetics on a continual search for improvement.

Management Team:

Ezra McKenzie – Engineer

Ezra started at OreKinetics as a design draftsman in 2008 and currently works in an engineering role after completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Queensland, Australia.

Ezra has been involved with evolutions to the existing electrostatic separation equipment offered by OreKinetics along with all aspects of production and management. As part of OreKinetics research team Ezra also contributes to development projects and new product technologies.

Having developed an exceptional understanding of plant processes and metallurgical requirements Ezra is also involved with providing customer technical support and training.

Andrew Gravett – Engineer

Andrew joined the OreKinetics team as an Engineer in 2012, where he has orientated his focus on the logistics and production components of OreKinetics. Andrew holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree and is a qualified Tradesman in Tool, Jig and Die Making. He gained his experience working in the Engineering Department for a major supplier to the Automotive OEMs in South Africa. Andrew is a pragmatic team player complimenting a world class team, ensuring OreKinetics deliver unrivalled client satisfaction.

Maria D’souza – Accounts & Office Administrator

Maria brings over 20 years of diversified experience in office administration, project coordination, and management of operational requirements. She efficiently handles all management reporting and critical evaluations of progress.
